So once upon a time, the largest newspaper in my state posted a full-page transphobic ad in light of the Minnesota State High School League considering a decision taking place on October 1-2 that would allow for transgender students to play in high school athletics based on their gender identity and immediately lost any respect I may have had for them.
The ad was paid for by a group that calls themselves the Minnesota Child Protection League, and along with associating with personalities like Michele Bachmann and Matt Barber liken LGBTQIA+ acceptance to the predatory behavior of pedophiles and pornography:
There’s two days before the decision, and I’ve gathered a few links for folks to do as they will:
If you like to scream at or reason with the equivalent of a brick wall, here’s the contact page of the Child Protection League’s website (Includes a mailing address)
Also, one for their facebook page.
If you’d like to call out the Star Tribune for broadcasting transphobia to the masses in the hopes of pressuring them into issuing some kind of a formal apology:
Star Tribune online contact form
Contact info for Advertisement Sales
Contact info for Rene Sanchez, Editor & Vice President
Contact info for all senior management
Or, if you’d like to be positive and show your support for transgender people to the Minnesota State High School League, here is the contact info for the administrative board.
what the FUCK
This is really not okay.
I think some people fail to realize that men can be sexually assaulted, too, and not just by other men. This girl shoves him against the wall and slaps him three fucking times when he pushes her away. Heck, he has to push her away twice before she backs off for a moment. Then she goes right back to kissing him.
If the genders were reversed, everyone on this site would be flipping a shit. And if anyone dares to tell me that it’s different when a girl does it to a guy, I will personally write you a three-page essay on why it is still not okay.
I’m just going to REBLOG this all the fucking time
I SWEAR I WILL ALWAYS REBLOG THIS.
I will never not reblog this
I am always going to reblog this
not gonna lie, that sounds awful and really troublesome
This is so true. I love this description so much.
And then one of them has some random ad playing noise on it and I CAN NEVER FUCKING FIND IT!
so is writers block when you accidentally close them all at the same time?
Forced reboot to install updates.
this explains it so well oh my goodness
